In December, 2008 the JSC «Trest Shahtospecstroy» mining section was transformed into the Mining and capital department (MCD). Currently, it includes 6 units:
- mining and capital unit №1;
- mining and capital unit №2;
- mining and capital unit №3;
- mining and capital unit №4
- mining and capital unit №5;
- underground self-moving transport unit. 
Mining and capital department performs the following works:
- all kinds of cable laying in horizontal, vertical and angled mine workings;
- loading systems construction (capacious bunkers, feeder chambers, etc.)
- subsurface ore storage construction;
- underground main fans installation;
- equipment installation in service chambers;
- all types of conveyors and other equipment installation, adjustment and repair;
- mine workings restoration and repair;
- drilling and fastening of special purpose workings heavy in sections;
- mine workings fastening with all types of support;
- drilling of mine workings with mechanized complexes.
To perform the above mentioned works MCD uses the cutting-edge mining equipment:
- tunnel boring machines (ПКС-8М, КРП);
- shuttle cars (5ВС 15М, 10ВС 22М);
- conveyor hoppers (БП-14);
- drilling machines (БГА-2В);
- selective heading machines (КИД-200М);
- scraper feeders (ППС-1М);
- combined machines (УРАЛ-50);
- ¬ rock loaders (2 ПНБ);
- ¬ mechanical loaders (МД-6, МД-12, МТЗ 572),
- ¬ mine wagons (ВГ-3).
Mining and capital department performs works at all the Units of JSC «Belaruskali».
